Federico Mencaroni
Federico was born and grew up in Corinaldo. After studying and working in different places, and spending most of his youth far from his home town, in 2010 he decides to go back to his family-run company and make a living in the country. He resists despite the huge challenges of globalization and the enormous effort required in agriculture. There you need commitment, patience and long lead times, while the rest of the world is always on the run, and everything is created, develops and vanishes swiftly.
His pride and love for his place of origin and his passion for wine keep him rooted in this area. Federico has developed the winemaking traditions and the oenological expertise handed on to him by his grandfather Urbano and his uncle Nevio, and he was able to achieve higher technical skills and a more qualified approach. Over time, Federico has understood that your talent is not just a gift you were born with, but it’s something you can develop if you live amidst of vines, wines and in a wine cellar. You have to become part of the life of the vine and the territory themselves. Vines need to suffer to produce good grapes, they are very rational and smart beings. To grow vines, you need to have pure academic skills, while you can forget any artistic ambition. Federico can be considered a wine craftsman. Craftsmanship is the core of his approach and his production cycle. Any ideas and their implementation come from the company, where they are developed: from the oenological research down to the bottling and labelling of the products obtained.

Dino Mencaroni
Dino, who is Federico’s father, is the trusted cellarmaster of our company. He works with the utmost passion and commitment in this cellar, that he inherited from his father and passed on to his son.
Nevio Mencaroni
Nevio, Federico’s uncle, knows like the back of his hand all the vines growing in the 4.5 hectares of land that surround our farm. Nevio was the beating heart of the winery before Federico took it over, and our farm still owes him most of our key values.
Dino Mencaroni

Our company is our family, and our family is our company: everyone in the family is involved in our business, both those who directly work in our winery and the ones who are naturally part of it, like our children. Thanks to our job, they experience a world ruled by seasons - where you have idle times while waiting, and busy days of hard work - and they have the chance to meet so many people we deal with because of our wines.
Sonia Giardini
Sonia is Federico’s wife. Her love for wines grew hand in hand with the one for Federico, and the passion for this extraordinary area. Sonia has an international background, and she manages our global customers and their markets. She develops our business globally, increasing product sales in Europe, Asia and America. Sonia also welcomes visitors to our company, and leads them to discover our wine cellar and through our wine tastings.
